Changes to bus service

Norfolk County Council has provided the following information (14/08/2023). David Bills is our NCC councillor. -

Following a review of bus services under contract to the council, along with forthcoming commercial changes, there is a change to bus services for the village. The change reflects the low usage on the current service 9. The service 9 will continue to operate until October 27^th, to allow a transition to the new services.

The school journey to Hethersett Academy will be replaced by Konect 5B, from 4^th September, which will pick up on School Lane at 0825 and return back at 1506 (Mon & Fri) and 1606 (Tue - Thur).

New services (see below) are starting 4^th September 2023 to Longwater retail park The services are operated by Our Bus and are funded by Norfolk County Council

A Pre book service aimed at commuters is also available, offering journeys to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, arriving at 0750 and departing again at 1745, enabling passengers to make onward connections to the city centre.
