CoffeeAndBiscuits

Every third Wednesday of the month, you are invited to come to Little Melton's Community Cafe. It takes place in the Village Hall, between 2pm and 4pm, and offers a fine selection of homemade cakes as well as tea and coffee. See below for current dates. There are also books and jigsaws to take home to read and you are welcome to bring along any books and jiogsaws that you are willing to pass on to others.

The idea is to provide an opportunity for people to come together for a chat and also to swap books (now that the mobile library only calls at the bottom end of School Lane) and jigsaws, in a warm, welcoming and friendly place.

Future cafes are planned for Wednesdays between 2pm and 4pm on the dates below.  We don't charge for refreshments, but donations to village hall funds to help cover the cafe costs are most welcome!   The cafe is paid for by the LM Charitable Organization, which runs the village hall.

It may be possible to develop other ideas such as a repair cafĂ© or to hold talks.  Prior to covid, there were weekly short mat bowls sessions at the hall and a monthly meeting of the Meltonians group.  it would be nice to start something up again for people to get together, (the short mat bowls equipment is still at the hall, if anyone is interested!).
