There are several memorials in the village - it is planned to add further information about these memorials and the people that they commemorate.

Silver Jubilee bench - 1977

The bench is outside the School and commemorates the Silver Jubilee of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022), she ascended to the throne in 1952. 

The bench was extensively repaired and given metal protection to the legs by Vince Potter in 2024.

Mary and William Durrell bench - 19??

The bench is outside the Village Hall 

Bob Brett plaque - 19??

The plaque is onthe west wall of the Village Hall.  Bob Brett created the Little Melton railway at Vine Cottage and there is a chapter about this in the History of LM book. 

Robert and Daphne Eagle bench - 20??

The Eagles are mentioned in the Historry of LM book and there are several photos of Daphne.
