Little Melton Homewatch - Annual Report 2010

Fortunately during the last twelve months the Village seems to have been spared the amount of criminal activity which has occurred in neighbouring villages. In May there were two incidents reported of attempted burglary in Green Lane and School Lane. On both occasions entry was made into outbuildings.

In December there was an attempt to break into the Village shop, which was unsuccessful, although there was damage to the shop door.

Due to the ongoing alterations to the Homewatch organisation in the County, there have not been as many reports of incidents in the area, as in the past.  By the end of March details should be known of the transfer of Homewatch to Communications and Public Affairs with greater integration of Norfolk's 52 Neighbourhood Policing Teams.

On a personal note, since I have now been the co-ordinator for 10 years, I would interested to know if there is anybody in the Village willing to take on the job in whatever form it may take under the new model.
